Richard Curtis Garrett, 68, of Grand Prairie, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Arlington.  Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Jessie Davis and Jonathan Butler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, at the funeral home.

Richard was born January 31, 1954, at Edwards Air Force Base in California to Claude Edward Garrett and Juanita Louise (Brown) Garrett.  Richard graduated from Bryan-Adams High School in Dallas and later graduated from Devry in Dallas.  He lived most of his life in Dallas and Grand Prairie.  Richard married Renee Eoff on his birthday, January 31, 1998, in Clyde.  He was a millwright.  He loved movies, tools and old music.

Richard is survived by his wife, Renee Garrett of Grand Prairie; his son, Richard Curtis Garrett Jr. of Arizona; his grandson, Andrew Dornieden of Oklahoma City; his brother, Robert Lynn Garrett of Waco; and his mother-in-law, Barbara Eoff of Clyde.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Claude Edward Garrett, Jr.; and his grandmothers, Jewel (Nanny) Brown and Gertrude Garrett.
