Robert Edward
Breshears
May 25, 1961 — Jul 17, 2025
Robert Edward Breshears, 64, of Clyde, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Born on May 25, 1961, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Edward Lee and Mary Grace (McFarland) Breshears, Robert lived a life defined by devotion—to his work, his faith, and most importantly, to his family.
A skilled and hardworking concrete foreman, Robert dedicated his entire working life to the concrete construction industry. He took immense pride in his craft, earning the respect of colleagues and peers through his unwavering commitment, leadership, and strong work ethic. He was the kind of man who showed up early, stayed late, and never gave less than his best.
Outside of work, Robert found joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures. He had a deep love for music and was happiest with a guitar in hand, singing and dancing with those he loved. He enjoyed a good game of Yahtzee, was an avid fan of westerns—especially Gunsmoke—and held a special admiration for John Wayne. These simple joys brought color and comfort to his days.
Robert's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a beloved brother, and a treasured friend. His love for his children and grandchildren was unconditional, and he poured his heart into every moment shared with them. Robert was a man of deep faith who found strength and peace in the Bible, and he lived out his beliefs with humility and grace. He gave freely of himself and found more joy in giving than receiving.
He is survived by his children, Sheree Breshears (Carson Williams) of Columbia, Missouri; Brittany Breshears of Columbia, Missouri; and Dustin Chipley (Lena Chipley) of Phoenix, Arizona. He also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Macey Miller, Ryann Breshears, Chance Bernard, and Camrion Chipley of Columbia, Missouri; Lilith Chipley of Phoenix, Arizona; Lily Chipley and Hailey Ridley of Chandler, Arizona. He is also survived by his sister, Ronda McKelvey of Clyde, Texas, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Breshears; his son, Kyle Chipley; and his brothers, Brian and Kevin Breshears.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
