Obituary

Robert Paul Lollar, 80, of San Antonio passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025. A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.

Paul was born March 28, 1945, in Abilene to Grover Loyal and Ruth Pauline (Merritt) Lollar. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene. He moved to San Antonio from Abilene in 1978. Paul worked for Santex International as a manager and diesel mechanic for over 35 years. His greatest loves in his life were hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  He was a dedicated volunteer for the San Antonio Live Stock and Rodeo Association and was inducted into their Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2023.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Clark and husband Duane of Clyde; his beloved dog, Penny: two brothers, Gene Lollar and wife Patricia of Anderson and David Lollar and wife Jerri of Tokio; one sister, Sallie O'Carroll and husband Earl of San Antonio and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and one great-great nephew.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Ruth Lollar and sister and brother-in-law, Jane and C.D. James.
