Obituary

Rev. Rodney Allan Mulvane, 62, went to join his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his home in Clyde. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Rodney was born September 7, 1959 in Mansfield, Ohio, to Wendell and Ruth (Achor) Mulvane. Rodney was a graduate of Crestline High School in Ohio before attending Peniel College in Massillon, Ohio where he obtained his Master of Theology. He married Linda Bledsoe in Crestline, Ohio on November 18, 1978, and they moved to Clyde in August of 2018. Rodney was a retired Baptist Preacher where his ministry for the Lord led him to pastor churches in the Texas area: Cross Plains, Coleman, Brownwood, Jacksboro, as well as the Oklahoma City area. He dedicated his life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and throughout his ministry as a pastor, he led many souls to the Lord. God gave Rodney a new eternal home in heaven; where there is no pain and suffering.

Rodney had a special gift for connecting with people, and is most known for his love and devotion to the Lord. His favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31 KJV, "…they shall mount up with wings as eagles." He was known for being cheerful, uplifting, and his contagious laughter. Hobbies that he enjoyed included cooking, golfing, bowling, and watching his favorite football teams: OU Sooners and Minnesota Vikings. Rodney was loved and respected by all and will be dearly missed.

From his wife: "I will miss seeing him studying his Bible, for he loved the Lord with all of his heart and soul. I am looking forward to our great reunion day in heaven, where I know he is singing in the heavenly choir. I will love you always and will see you again."

Rodney was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Mulvane of Clyde; his father, Wendell Mulvane of Sandusky, Ohio; his son, Philip Charles Seitz of Alamogordo, New Mexico; his daughters, Caroline Marie Randall of Dublin, Ohio, Christina Darlene Mulvane-Jauregui and fiancé Hunter of Dublin, Ohio, Lisa Suzanne Crouch and husband Shawn of Clyde, Texas and Ruth Ellen May Cline and husband Corey of Lawton, Oklahoma; his brother, Randall Mulvane of Sandusky, Ohio; his sisters, Wendy Ruiz and husband Orlando of Ohio, and Rebecca Jones and husband William, Sr. of Sandusky, Ohio; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his sister-in-law, Debra Ann Bledsoe of Mansfield, Ohio. Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mulvane.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests rose bushes for Linda or a memorial to one's favorite charity.
