Ronald Wayne Hendershott, 70, of Baird, died Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ronald was born April 13, 1952, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Charles Henry and Virginia (Layne) Hendershott.  He attended school in Leachville, Arkansas, and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He married Linda Staley on March 13, 1984, in Houston.  They moved to Baird from Huntsville in December 2016.  Ronald was a retired vibration technician for TECO.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda Hendershott, of Baird; one son, Ronald Christopher Hendershott of Graford, Texas; two daughters, Leigh Ann Manz of Spring, Texas, and Christine Cooper of Bloomington, Idaho; two brothers, Larry and David Hendershott of Arkansas; one sister, Carol Hendershott of North Carolina; and six grandchildren, Morgan Rapier of Plano, Ferin Palmer of Huntsville, Cacilia Manz of Spring, Antonio Sousa of Idaho, Jenna Sousa of Idaho, and Vaden Palmer of Arkansas.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bobbie Hendershott.
