Ronald Jackson (Johnny) Cochran, 75, of Aspermont died Monday, October 14, 2019 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Central Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Harris officiating.

Johnny was born July 20, 1944 in Rotan to Sam Steven and Anna Ruth (Rollins) Cochran. He graduated from Aspermont High School and was a lifelong resident of the Aspermont area. He married Lajuana Ward in Abilene on February 1, 1987. Johnny was a farmer, rancher and truckdriver for many years and a member of the Central Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Lajuana of Aspermont; three daughters, Dorothy Cochran of Lubbock, Lee Ann Davies and husband Richard of North Zulch and Shawna Cochran of Purcellville, Virginia; brother Steve Cochran of Aspermont; sister Ben Allen of Granbury; grandchildren, Cassie Taylor and husband Brock of Lubbock, Ryan Phillips of Lubbock, Dakota Davies and Rowdy Davies of North Zulch, Kaitlyn Morris, Maddie Morris and Tyler Morris of Charlottesville, Virginia; great grandchildren, Sue Ann Taylor, Tristan Taylor and Caemlyn Taylor and many nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Stephen Davies in 2004.
