Ronald Gene Wilson, 67, of Abilene died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in an Abilene hospital. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Ronald was born November 17, 1953 in Abilene to Merrell Clayton and Margaret Lou (Stoup) Wilson. He graduated from Clyde High School and then went to Cisco Junior College, earning his Associates Degree. He married Brenda Faye Rose in Clyde on August 19, 1977. He worked for Abilene Lumber, Harbin Exxon and McCoys Lumber Company. Ronald loved bowling, going to the casinos and scratching lottery tickets.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Wilson of Abilene; two sons, Christopher Wilson and Morgan of Abilene and Brandon Wilson and Abbey of Arlington; two sisters, Mary McDougal and husband Jerry of Cameron, Missouri and Linda Shelton of Clyde; grandson, Jackson Wilson; two step grandchildren, Cadence Batton and Kaleb Mills; special friend Darden Isenberg and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Clayton Wilson.
