Roy F. Hill, 88, passed away on Friday, October 26, at his daughter's home in Eula.  Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Eula First Baptist Church with Pastor Charly McDermett officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.   Burial will follow in the Eula Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Roy was born February 23, 1930, in Maples, Missouri, to Amon Hill and Carrie Ann (Sharp) Hill. He attended school in Maples, Missouri, graduating from Licking High
School.  He served as a signal corpsman in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged January 7, 1953.  He married Eulyene Waters on October 16, 1953, at Kermit, Texas.   Roy was a telephone exchange repairman for Southwestern Bell for 38 years, 10 months and 23 days.  He and Eulyene moved to the Abilene, Eula area from Kermit in 1966.  He was an active member and serve as a deacon of the Eula Baptist Church for many years.

Roy is survived by son Cliff Hill (Shelia) of Arlington; daughter Ann Owen (Bill) of Eula; and sister Christine Corder of Las Cruces, New Mexico; two grandsons, Jeffrey Hill (Nancy) of El Centro, California.; and Jason Hill (Kasandra) of Temple and four great-grandchildren, Travis, Logan, Gus and Charlotte Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eulyene, brothers Gordon and Harry Hill, and sisters, Edith Hill, Alma Robnet, and Vera Fernandes.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Eula First Baptist Church or Hendrick Hospice Care.
