Ruby Irene Trout, 80, of Clyde passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Austin Wright officiating. A private burial will follow in Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruby was born October 31, 1944, in Weatherford to the late Roy and Irene (Floyd) Trout. She graduated from Lockney High School and married Virgil Clayton Trout in Hereford on March 24, 1967. They moved to Clyde from Iraan in 1976. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Clyde Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Clifton Trout of Clyde and Calvin Trout and wife Jillian of Clyde; one sister, Martha Stewart of Marlow, Oklahoma and four grandchildren, Faith Odle, Hunter Trout, Sterling Trout and Hope Trout.
