Russell Keith Klepper, 65, of Roscoe passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2024, at Clyde Cemetery.

Russell was born August 11, 1959, in Sweetwater to Rae and Christine (Shanks) Klepper. He graduated from Roscoe High School and attended McMurry University. In 1978, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served during the Gulf War and worked as an aviation technician, retiring in 1998. He married Brenda Wade in Lovington, New Mexico in August 1999. Russell was on the American Legion Board of Directors in Roscoe, Post 227 and was a member of the Sweetwater Country Club, where he loved to play golf.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Klepper of Roscoe; his stepdaughter, Breanna Hopkins and husband Sean of Magnolia, Delaware; one brother, Randall Klepper and wife Laurel of Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Ann Etheredge of San Antonio and Cynthia Roberts and husband Alan of Clyde and numerous nieces and nephews.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Rae and Christine and his brother, Robert Klepper.
