Sally Evelyn (Beck) Hooper, 78, of Abilene passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at an Abilene care center. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Kendrick Cemetery in Denton Valley with Chaplin Burtis Williams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday August 13, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Sally was born October 14, 1945, in Baird to O. J. and Ruby (Sneed) Beck.  She attended Lincoln Junior High and Abilene High School. She was the widow of Millard "Bardo" Hooper whom she married in Abilene in 1986.  Sally was a lifetime resident of the Abilene area where she worked as managers of convenient stores including the Toot'n Totum in Amarillo and 7-Eleven in Abilene.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Sally is survived by three daughters:  Sally Fagan and husband Steven of Peculiar, Mo., Angie Lane and husband George of San Angelo, Texas and Kristina Herod of Abilene; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Benny Edwards; one daughter, Shelly Edwards; one brother, Raymond Neal; and two grandsons, Nathan Edwards and Colin Fagan.
