Sally Lucille Hudson, 78, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Eula First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Renfro officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the funeral home.

Sally Lucille Brown Hudson: Born November 1, 1942 in Waco to Albert Lee Brown and Auda Dena Hensley Brown. Sally grew up around Stamford on a farm. Her first job was at Robinson Drugstore, working the soda fountain. She also worked as a carhop for Tom Thornton's in Abilene. Her school days were in Stamford Elementary thru the eighth grade. At age 32, she went to night school for her GED so she could attend LVN school. She worked at Clyde Nursing Home as an aide in 1973, when she moved to Clyde, until 1976, when she started Cisco Junior College nursing classes and graduated in 1977. She mothered and raised three children, Kayla, Angela and Leslie.

Sally met Donald Gary Hudson in 1982 and they were married on November 25, 1983. Don has one son, Gary, two daughters living, Suzanne and Annetta. Don and Sally had eight children together and 17 grandchildren. Sally worked at various nursing places, Mesa Springs in Abilene, Abilene State School for 12 years, as dorm LVN and several home health companies as a travel nurse.

Sally loved people and animals, liked to cook and clean her home and liked to help others in need. She was an active member of Eula First Baptist Church

She is survived by her three daughters, Kayla Ann Farmer and husband David of Greeley, Colorado, Angela Karol Benford and husband Jim of San Angelo and Leslie Jean Pounds of Kingston, Washington; her sister, Linda Gayle Johnson of Eula; her nine grandchildren, Tristan Malaer, Caleb Malaer, Katey Benford, Nicholas Major, Hannah Major, Ethan Coffman, Jacob Coffman, Rebecca Sidwell and Joshua Coffman and her one great granddaughter that she adored, Elizabeth Major.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don in 2019, her parents and her siblings, Edward Brown, Jimmie Brown, Lois Reeves and Dorothy Adams.

At Sally's request, following the service, she will be cremated and her ashes will be spread over the rose garden at her home.
