Obituary

Sharon Patricia Stoecker-Ellis, 70, of Dublin passed from this Earth on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Sharon was born October 6, 1955, in Lockport, New York to Paul and Antoinette (Mattiuzzo) Stoecker. They relocated to Abilene where they would raise Sharon, her sister Linda and brothers, Michael and Tommy. She later married John Ellis in New Braunfels on July 10, 1980.

Sharon was a model and consultant with Clinique for ten years, worked for a petroleum engineering firm and Mrs. Baird's Bread. She mostly was a loving wife and mother, the life of the party and one spectacular baker and chef. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with John more than almost anything else; from the Llano River to the Stoecker family farm in Winters. She also loved sports and was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. Her love of music was diverse, from Led Zeppelin to George Jones, Van Halen to Sinatra, she loved it all.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Ellis of Dublin; one son, Jason Lackey and wife Sarah of Leander; three stepchildren, Paul Ellis and wife Chris of Clyde, Pam Adams and husband Brian of Abilene and Debbie Evans of Burkburnett; two brothers, Michael Stoecker of Abilene and Tommy Stoecker and wife Kelly of Winters; eight grandchildren, Derek Lackey, Sam Lackey, Michael Ellis, Mark Ellis, Misty Fry, Tate Vaughan, Meaghan Keesee and McKenna Eldredge; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Antoinette and her sister, Linda Stoecker.
