Sharon Cox Glaze, 74, of Abilene died Friday, January 27, 2023, at home. Burial was Monday, January 30, 2023, at the Clyde Cemetery.

Sharon was born March 15, 1948, in Salinas, California to Clyde and Clogene (McRae) Cox. She graduated from Eula High School and worked at the Abilene State School as a clerk for 20 years. Sharon married George Anthony Glaze in Abilene on November 23, 1991.

She is survived by her stepson, Christopher Glaze of Abilene; daughter, Julie Carlile Cherry of Lubbock; grandchildren, Kinsley Scott and Brittany Presley, both of Lubbock; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, including James Cox of Abilene and John Cox of Clyde.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Clogene Cox; her brother, Burl Cox and her husband, Tony Glaze.
