Sharon Kay Stroope, 70, of Clyde passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at her home in Clyde. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sharon was born August 12, 1954, in Fort Stockton, Tx to Andrew and Francis Joyce (Weaver) Johnson. She graduated from Abilene High School and moved to Clyde from Abilene in 2015. She worked as a transportation driver for several rehabilitation facilities and also served as a dietitian in nursing homes. She was known for her green thumb and loved to start new plants. Cooking was another talent she was recognized for.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisia Ross of Clyde and Christi Ross of Bronx, New York; her brother, Henry Johnson of Clyde; James Johnson of Abilene, Annette Chambers of Abilene, Deborah Johnson of Abilene, Cynthia Johnson of Abilene, and Beverly Scott of Burleson; two grandchildren, Kelsie Arellano and Justin Ortega and three great grandchildren, Aricella, Ethaniel and Arielle.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
