Obituary

Shawn Bostick Bagley was born on May 22, 1979, in Houston, Texas, and she passed away on March 9, 2023, in Granbury, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde.

Shawn was born on May 22, 1979, to Deane and Debbie Bostick. She had her daughters, Hannah Arnold in 1997, and Amiah Kelly in 2003, both of whom she loved very much. She met her Husband, Travis Bagley, in 2017, and they were married in May 2020.

Shawn lived her life full of love and joy, and she made sure that she gave love and joy to anyone, because she knew she could never run out. Despite any of her circumstances, her joy never wavered, because she lived her life loving Jesus. He was her strength, her hope, her peace, her love, her joy. Just like we read in Nehemiah 8:10, The joy of the Lord was her strength. She truly loved Jesus, and she loved others—2 of greatest commands we are given in the New Testament. And because of that, we know that when she reached Heaven's gates, she was greeted with the words "well done, good and faithful servant."

Shawn worked in the deli department at H-E-B in Granbury, TX, and she loved her job. She was referred to as "Shawn-shine" by coworkers, and always approached each day with a goal to find something good in every single person she met.

She had a gift of seeing the good in each person, and encouraging and loving on them when they needed it most. It was impossible to be around Shawn and not feel the contagious joy and abounding love she had.

Shawn was preceded in death by her parents, Deane and Debbie Bostick; her grandparents Hollis and Estelle Wimberley, Deane Bostick II, Joyce McLeod.

Shawn is missed by those who she is survived by: her Husband, Travis Bagley, of Granbury; her daughters, Hannah Arnold and Amiah Kelly, of Clyde; her brothers Deane Bostick IV and wife Terri, of Enterprise, AL, and Justin Bostick and wife Bristee, of Clyde; grandchildren, Noah and Klaire Arnold; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who all loved her dearly.

Shawns life will always be marked by joy, and it will always be marked by love. Nothing could steal these from her, because she was rooted in the greatest supplier of it all—Jesus—who has enough love, joy, peace, hope, for all of us to overflow with it.
