Shirley Williams, 55, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel.

Shirley was born November 30, 1970, in Ranger to Mearl and Lora (Boyett) Strange. She graduated from Clyde High School and after graduation she became a mother and loved being a mom and raising her family. She then pursued a career in cosmetology. She loved her job and did this for many years while her children were growing up. She married Darrell Williams in Clyde on September 8, 2012. She later worked at Lowe's and loved her Lowe's family. Shirley loved football and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and she also loved live music, especially live country music. She loved family time and family get togethers and she was known as "Mom" to many of her children's friends and they all loved to hang out at her house. She will be missed by many and leaves a huge emptiness that no one else will be able to fill.

She is survived by three children, Ryky Rogers of Abilene, Brittany Gibson of Plano and Jason Rogers of Pine Junction, Colorado; two brothers, Mike Langford and wife Vickie of Cisco and Mack Ayers and wife Anna of Clyde; two sisters, Nancy Jones and husband Tom of Granbury and Bonnie Williamson of Snyder; eight grandchildren, Brad, Avery, Brylee, Kaylin, Caspian, Katy, Kaiden and Lily and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Mearl and Lora Strange; her husband, Darrell; her son, J.D. and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Ayers.
