Thomas Warren Self, 67, of Clyde and formerly of Abilene, passed away Friday February 7, 2020 in his home. Graveside services will be held Saturday February 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene with Pastor Austin Bruton officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bailey Howard Funeral Home, 105 Oak St. Clyde, Texas 79510.

Thomas Warren Self, known to all as "Paw", was born September 11, 1952 in Lockney, Texas to the parents of Armstead William "Bill" Self and Valverie (Honea) Self. Thomas received his education from Silverton High School and graduated in 1971. Thomas met the love of his life and soulmate Judy Ann Smith, and the couple were married June 26, 1971. Thomas enlisted with the US Air Force on July 21, 1972 and was discharged after 13 years with the 97th AMS on October 25, 1985. He then began working for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2016. Thomas loved his family, his animals and listening to his favorite music while holding his Lone Star.

Thomas was preceded in death by both parents and his soulmate, Judy. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter Darla Roberts (Michael) of Waco, two sons Anthony Self (Kimberly) of Rule, Raymon Self (Charlane) of Clyde, brother David Self (Belinda) of O'Brian, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
