Virginia Lynn "Jenny" Slatton flew into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 4, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. She had valiantly fought cancer for too long to stay here.

Jenny was born June 15, 1989, in Eula. She was a proud graduate of Eula schools.  She was the great first baseman on the team that won state in 2006 and could hit that ball over the fence, and made it look easy!  She was baptized at Eula Methodist Church and was later a member of Eula Baptist Church, but her favorite was being Music Minister of Level Church.  She had a beautiful voice and loved using it for the Lord.

Jenny is survived by her sister, Ashley, of San Angelo; nephew, Declan, of Eula; grandparents, Carrol & Eileen Miller of Eula; uncle & aunt, Mike & Linda Worles, of San Marcos, and more uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to mention.  Everyone loved Jenny and were loved in return.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, John & Margie Slatton; grandfather, Jerry Slaton; and much loved great-grandparents, Joe & Edna Bentley of Eula and Stewart & Lavern Slatton of Cisco.

Jenny's wish was to be cremated. Her Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Eula Methodist Church, led by Pastor Mike Garland of Level Church. Jenny requested that people not wear black to her service, but instead wear a superhero shirt.
