Virginia Nicholson, 90, a long-time resident of Irving died Thursday January 16, 2025, at her home. Born January 20, 1934, in Snyder, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Jeff Clay Warren and Vivian Luttrell Warren.
They moved to Dallas in 1941. She met Harold Nicholson and they were married over 50 years prior to his death in 2015. They were long-time members of First Baptist Church in Irving where they were members of the Kinkeade Bible Class and where she was active in the church's homeless ministry. She was a beautician and hairdresser until retiring in 2021 and moving to Cedar Hill.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harold, son, Terry, and a grandson, Jeff Wadsworth, she is survived by a daughter Tonya Wadsworth, granddaughter, Jennifer Wadsworth, a brother, Bill Warren, and two sisters, Sylvia Rose, and Barbara Short.
Funeral services will be on her birthday Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Irving. Private burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Mike and Angie Korzenewski through Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde, Texas. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church for homeless ministry, 403 South Main Street Irving, Texas 75060.
