Vivian Heine Bailey, 80, of Abilene, formerly of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 2500 State Highway 66 East, Rockwall, Texas 75087

Vivian was born February 2, 1943, in Hereford to Edward and Mertie (Lewis) Rapstine. She married Riley Hershel Bailey in Clyde on May 22, 1992. She worked at Hendrick Medical Center as a secretary and EKG tech, retiring after 21 years. Vivian was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved gardening, cooking and taking care of her grandbabies. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Abilene.

She is survived by two sons, Rusty Heine and wife Stacie of Hawley and Dusty Heine and wife Cissy of Forney; two daughters, Tonia Bennett and husband Ross of Spring and Melody Cusson and husband David of Buffalo Gap; sister, Marilyn Heflin of Mesquite; six grandchildren, Jeremy Heine of Princeton, Zachary Heine and wife Sierra of Abilene, Amanda Cusson and husband Garrett Howard, Brittany Cusson and Carleigh Cusson, all of the Denver. Colorado area and Samantha Heine of Forney; one great grandson, Wesley Heine and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mertie; her husband, Hershel; three brothers, Edward Rapstine, Victor Rapstine and Gary Rapstine; two sisters, Patricia Smith and Barbara Whitaker.
