**SERVICE TIME RESCHEDULED **

William (Mack) Lamar McMurrain, 93, of Waco, formerly of Abilene, joined his lovely bride in Heaven on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in a Waco nursing facility. Graveside services are rescheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Dr. Toby Henson officiating.

Mack was born October 27, 1929, in El Dorado, Arkansas to William L. McMurrain, Sr. and Hazel Imogene (Lackey) McMurrain. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving a purple heart for being wounded during battle. He married the love of his life, Loweta Joy Wreyford on May 30, 1950. William worked for El Paso Natural Gas Company for 33 years, retiring as plant operator.

He was an avid fisherman and loved entertaining family and friends. He always had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. He loved his Sunday school class and church friends. Mack was amazing at repairing and fixing anything he put his mind to and took great pride in the homes he built for his family.

Mack is survived by his daughter, Vicky Bush and husband Keith of Waco; son, Robert Charles McMurrain and wife Twana; grandson, Larry Williams; granddaughters, Sunny Bradshaw and husband Jason, Joy Williams and Misty McMurrain; great granddaughters, Bailey and Taylor Bradshaw, Serenity Williams and Jacinda McMurrain.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loweta in 2020; his parents, William Sr. and Hazel; sister, Helen Nopens and a grandson, Robert Charles McMurrain, Jr.
