Winford Wayne Gardner, 84, of Eula died Monday, January 10, 2022 in a Horseshoe Bay nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Highway 36 Church of Christ with Greg Melton officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in Eula Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Winford was born September 27, 1937 in Baird to Albert and Eueda (Putman) Gardner. He graduated from Eula High School. He married Bobbie Joyce Farmer in Eula on July 21, 1956. Winford worked for El Paso Natural Gas for many years. He then became a farmer in Eula and an entrepreneur of many things.

He is survived by his son, Mark Gardner and wife Marilyn of Wichita Falls; daughters, Kelly Gardner of San Antonio, Karen Gotcher and husband Danny of Fredericksburg and Paula Blackburn and husband Mike of Crandall; grandchildren, Misti Dusek and husband Kristopher, Amber Lanham and husband Spencer, Morgan Self and husband Mark, Blanton Barkemeyer and wife Melanie, Peyton Mode, Matthew Gardner and wife Kristol, Christopher Gardner and wife Amy, Landon Blackburn and Laura Harvey and husband Sean; eleven great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ava, Carlee, Carolina, Garrison, Gatlin, Juliette, Like, Nolan, Savannah and Weston and many other relatives and friends.

Winford was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 65 years, Bobbie Gardner on December 17, 2021.
